He is currently working at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, Faculty of Tourism, Department of Tourism Management. Dr. Roberto Solinas PhD
Präsident – Mine Vaganti NGO, Italien

Gründer und Präsident Dr. Solinas ist der Mastermind hinter der Strategie und dem Konzept der Mine Vaganti NGO (MVNGO) und als CFO für alle wirtschaftlichen Aspekte verantwortlich. Als europäischer Projektmanager leitet er den Project & Research Hub und ist der strategische Grant Write Coordinator von MVNGO.

Dr. Solinas ist auf Marketing spezialisiert, das er als Leiter der Webentwicklung und Social-Media-Berichterstattung von MVNGO – seinen Satellitenorganisationen, Initiativen und Spin-offs – sowie als Leiter der Entwicklung des transkontinentalen Netzwerks von MVNGO einsetzt.

Als von SALTO akkreditierter Trainer für formale und nicht formale Bildung (NFE) ist Dr. Solinas verfügt über umfangreiche Fachkenntnisse im Bereich soziales Unternehmertum, dem Umfang von Erasmus+, wie z. B. interkultureller Dialog, soziale Eingliederung, Umweltfragen usw. Als Hauptredner, Moderator und Trainer hat Dr. Solinas an zahlreichen Konferenzen, Seminaren und Schulungskursen auf der ganzen Welt teilgenommen .

Als Pionier im Bereich Bildung durch Sport (ETS) koordiniert er die Aktivitäten von MVNGO im Sportbereich und auf der ICSE-Plattform.

Dr. Solinas schloss sein Masterstudium in Kommunikations- und Marketingstudien an der Universität La Sapienza in Rom ab, erwarb eine Spezialisierung in „Sportmanagement“ an der Universität „Bicocca“ in Mailand und schloss 2023 sein Doktorat an der Nationalen Sportakademie „Vassil Levski“ ab ( Sofia, Bulgarien.

Mitbegründerin und Präsidentin der NGO NEST Berlin, Dr. Pirina, koordiniert als europäische Projektmanagerin die Vergabe von Fördermitteln und die Umsetzung europäischer und nationaler geförderter Projekte. Als PR- und Kommunikationsexpertin baute und leitet sie lokale bis interkontinentale Partnerschaften und leitet Online- und Offline-Marketingkampagnen.

Dr. Pirina ist Vorstandsmitglied von MV International und koordiniert für dieses und ein angeschlossenes Netzwerk von NGOs die globale Mobilität durch Hochschul- und Berufsausbildungsschiffe, Schulungen und Freiwilligenarbeit. Als Redner, Moderator oder als akkreditierter (SALTO) Trainer nahm Dr. Pirina an zahlreichen Konferenzen, Schulungen und Seminaren auf der ganzen Welt teil.

Dr. Pirina schloss ihr Masterstudium in Unternehmenskommunikation an der Universität „La Sapienza“ in Rom ab und erwarb zwei Spezialisierungen in „Kommunikation und Organisation“ an der Universität „La Sapienza“ in Rom und Kulturveranstaltungsmanagement an der „Scuola Lisa Mascolo“.

Dr. Nureddin MEMUR
Secretary General of the Rectorate, İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University / Master Athlete, Türkiye

Born on January 25, 1970, in Malatya, he pursued his education in Malatya until university. In 1993, he graduated from the Faculty of Communication at Ege University. He later completed his studies as a Teacher at Ege University’s School of Physical Education and Sports in 1998. He has served and continues to serve in various roles, including as a member of the İZKA Development Board, a member of the EXPO 2020 Advisory Board, a board member of the İzmir Masters Athletics Club, and a founding member of the İzmir Athletics Sports Club. His active sports career, which began during his primary school years across different sports, continues today as a Masters athlete. Competing in international athletics events, he has earned various achievements multiple times. In 2012, he successfully completed the Level 1 Assistant Athletics Coaching course held by the Turkish Athletics Federation in Izmir, earning his coaching certificate.

Assoc. Prof. Barbara Mazza

Sie ist außerordentliche Professorin (Roma, Italien) und seit 2023 qualifizierte ordentliche Professorin am Institut für Kommunikation und Sozialforschung der Universität Sapienza in Rom, wo sie Kommunikation für Unternehmensführung sowie Eventmanagement und Kommunikation lehrt. Von 20017/2018 bis 2023-24 ist sie Präsidentin des Masterstudiengangs „Organisation und Marketing für Unternehmenskommunikation“.

Ab 2019 ist sie Mitglied des Quid-Projekts (Qualität und Innovation der Didaktik) von Sapienza, mit Funktionen als Leiterin der Lehrer-Tutoren-Ausbildung und Delegierte der Fakultät für Soziologie, Politikwissenschaften und Kommunikation sowie Mitglied der Didaktischen Kommission der Fakultät der Politikwissenschaften, Soziologie, Kommunikation.

Seit 2015 ist sie lokale Koordinatorin mehrerer Forschungsprojekte auf nationaler, europäischer (Erasmus Plus) und internationaler Ebene und Mitglied von IRNIST, International Research Network in Sport Tourism. Es handelt sich um ein wissenschaftliches Forschungsnetzwerk, an dem Wissenschaftler von 38 Universitäten in 17 Ländern weltweit beteiligt sind.

Sie ist Co-Direktorin einer Redaktionsreihe für FrancoAngeli mit dem Titel „Sport, Kultur und Gesellschaft“ und Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Komitees nationaler und europäischer Zeitschriften, darunter „Sociology of Communication“, herausgegeben von FrancoAngeli und einer Zeitschrift der spanischen Forschungsvereinigung Mitteilung veröffentlicht von der Universität Santiago de Compostela in Spanien.

Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Geschäftskommunikation, Innovation und Nachhaltigkeit, Eventkommunikation, Sportkommunikation und innovative Lehre an Universitäten.

Ordentlicher Professor für Business, Resilience und Transformation an der Montpellier Business School (MBS). In aktiver Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen und globalen gesellschaftlichen Interessengruppen und Studierenden versucht er in seiner Forschung zu verstehen, zu erklären und umzusetzen, wie Organisationsprozesse die Fähigkeit von Systemen unterstützen, sich angesichts großer Herausforderungen zu erholen, sich anzupassen und radikal zu verändern. Dazu verbindet er Organisations- und Unternehmertheorien mit bösen Problemen und komplexen adaptiven Systemen.

Seine Arbeiten wurden kürzlich unter anderem im Journal of Business Venturing, Organization Studies, Organization & Environment, Journal of Business Ethics und Business & Society veröffentlicht. Im Einklang mit dieser Forschungsvision lehrt Domenico partizipative Systemdynamik und Wertnetzwerkanalyse für organisatorische und systemische Veränderungen auf Führungs- und Hochschulebene. Bevor er 2021 zu MBS kam, erhielt Domenico im Zeitraum 2011–2020 persönlich Forschungsstipendien in Höhe von 2,4 Millionen von europäischen und internationalen öffentlichen Förderagenturen.

Assoc. Prof. Celal Gençoğlu, Ph.D.,

Celal Gençoğlu is an Associate Professor in Sport Sciences with over 10 years of academic experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and has expanded his research to cover diverse fields within sports sciences, including coaching, wearable technology, and data science. He is also a co-founder of Creinno Tech, where he applies his expertise to sports technology and innovation. As a former handball goalkeeper and national coach, he blends practical athletic experience with cutting-edge research and entrepreneurial efforts.

Hikmet Gümüş, Ph.D.,

Hikmet Gumus is a medical school graduate with ten years of health experience. After completing a PhD in exercise physiology, he shifted focus to sports sciences. Hikmet Gumus is known for his work primarily in sports technology, including patented technologies, R&D efforts, and entrepreneurial activities.

Mr. Christo Velkov

Christo Velkov ist ein erfahrener Zivilgesellschafts- und Philanthropie-Aktivist. Der gebürtige Bulgare engagierte sich in prodemokratischen Studentenbewegungen, die zum Fall der Berliner Mauer führten. Er absolvierte eine betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung in Brüssel und begann seine berufliche Laufbahn am European Foundation Centre als erster Grantmakers East Secretary. Anschließend hatte er leitende Positionen bei der EurActiv Foundation und dem German Marshall Fund of the United States inne.

Velkov hat den größten Teil seiner beruflichen Laufbahn den Special Olympics gewidmet, der größten globalen Bewegung, die sich durch sportbezogene Initiativen für die vollständige soziale Integration von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung einsetzt. Er hat bahnbrechende Verbesserungen im ehemaligen Jugoslawien, die Überprüfung der Waisenhausrichtlinien und -praktiken in ganz Osteuropa, das Engagement von EU- und UN-Institutionen und Sportverbänden sowie die Förderung höherer Standards für den Schutz und Schutz von Kindern und gefährdeten Erwachsenen vorangetrieben.

Velkov erhielt seine postgraduale Ausbildung von INSEAD (Betriebswirtschaftslehre) und der Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Afrikanische Studien). Als Vater von drei Kindern lebt er mit seiner Familie in Brüssel. In seiner Freizeit ist er ein leidenschaftlicher, preisgekrönter Segler.

Umut Ziya Kocak graduated from School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Dokuz Eylul University in 2011, completed MSc Degree in 2014 and PhD Degree in 2018 about performance and injury prevention for athletes in Dokuz Eylul University.

Dr. Kocak works as an Associate Professor in Izmir Katip Celebi University. He teaches courses about biomechanics, athletes’ health&rehabilitation, manuel techniques, and he acts as an advisor to physical therapy graduate students and is an active researcher himself.

He worked in a 1-year Post-Doc Researcher position about injury prevention and prediction in athletes at Wisconsin-Madison University, Wisconsin, USA. He is in the Executive Board of Kinesio Taping Turkey Association and Association of Turkish Sports Physiotherapists, also member of American College of Sports Medicine.

Pedro Dias arbeitet beim Internationalen Olympischen Komitee als Manager für Geschlechtergleichstellung und Inklusion. Zuvor war er Direktor der Sport Evolution Alliance, einer NGO, die sich auf europäische Zuschüsse, hauptsächlich das Erasmus + Sport-Programm, spezialisiert hat. Er hat einen Bachelor in Sportmanagement und hat das Programm „Executive Masters in Sport Organizations Management – MEMOS“ erfolgreich abgeschlossen.

Pedro Dias ist olympischer Judoka, Dritter der Europameisterschaft und war in dieser Sportart auch als Trainer tätig. Im Laufe vieler Jahre war er an der Organisation Dutzender internationaler Sportveranstaltungen in Portugal und Brasilien beteiligt und war außerdem Sportdirektor der Beach-Soccer-Mannschaft des Sporting Clube de Portugal. Im Laufe seiner Karriere hat er ein weltweites Netzwerk von Sportakteuren aufgebaut.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şahin was born in Trabzon. He completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University and Karadeniz Technical University, his master’s degree at the Institute of Social Sciences of Karadeniz Technical University, and his doctoral education at the Institute of Social Sciences of Atatürk University. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Psychology, Director of the Psychology Center, and Director of the Institute of Social Sciences at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şahin has published 150 articles, 9 books, and 19 book chapters in national and international journals in the fields of sports psychology, school psychological counseling, and developmental psychology. He has carried out projects supported by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and the State Planning Organization.

He has received training in Gestalt Therapy, EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as suicide behavior and intervention techniques. He worked as a psychological performance consultant in sports psychology at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, the 2018 School Sports Olympics, and from 2013 to 2020 with Trabzonspor.

Dr. Derya ÖZER KAYA

Prof. Dr. Derya ÖZER KAYA graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2002. The same year, she started her clinical studies as a Research Assistant in the Sports Health Unit of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Hacettepe University, focusing on Sports Physiotherapy within the Health Sciences Institute. She earned her Master’s degree in 2004 and completed her Ph.D. in 2009. In 2004, she conducted studies on “Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction” at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontic & Special Dental Care, and worked as a clinical fellow at Sheffield Hallam University’s Sheffield Centre of Sports Medicine in the UK. In 2007, she received the title of international trainer by conducting education and research within the scope of the Thera-Band Academy. From March 2011 to January 2014, she served as an Assistant Professor in academic and administrative roles at Ahi Evran University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Dr. KAYA was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Health Sciences in October 2013 and received the title of Professor in February 2019. Since February 2014, she has continued her academic duties at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Muhammad Farooq

Muhammad Farooq ist ein leidenschaftlicher Forscher auf dem Gebiet der Nachhaltigkeit und ihrer Anwendung in verschiedenen Unternehmensbereichen. Seine Spezialgebiete sind digitale nachhaltige Geschäftsmodelle, Vergleichsstudien und die Gründung digitaler Startups. Farooq hat auch ein Profil in der Arbeit an vergleichenden Studien von Ländern auf der Grundlage unternehmerischer Absichten, dem Vergleich von Smart Cities und der Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen prominenten Unternehmern. Er hat auch eine Vorliebe für den Tourismus und die damit verbundenen Aspekte der neuesten Trends. Derzeit promoviert er an der Yasar-Universität Izmir in der Türkei.

Prof. Dr. Volkan Altıntaş
Ordentlicher Professor – Fakultät für Tourismus, Abteilung für Tourismusberatung – İzmir Katip Çelebi Universität, Türkei

Prof. Dr. Volkan Altıntaş schloss sein Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Gazi-Universität in Ankara ab und erwarb einen MSc in Tourismus- und Hotelmanagement an der Akdeniz-Universität in Antalya, wo er an derselben Abteilung promovierte. Von 2003 bis 2010 arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter.

Gleichzeitig war er Mitglied des Nachwuchsteams im Zentrum für Europäische Integrationsstudien der Universität Bonn in Deutschland.

Im Jahr 2010 schloss er seine Doktorarbeit mit der Dissertation „Die Auswirkungen der Tourismusentwicklung auf die Lebensqualität der Einwohner: Das Modell der Region Alanya“ ab.

Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Europäische Union, Tourismuspolitik, regionale Entwicklungen, Lebensqualität und Tourismusökonomie. Als Fremdsprachen beherrscht er Englisch und Deutsch auf professionellem Niveau. Er arbeitet als ordentlicher Professor an der Fakultät für Tourismus der Katip Çelebi-Universität Izmir.

Mr. Melih Kayacik

Born in Izmir in 1984, Melih Kayacik graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Econometrics in 2006. He worked in the areas of budget planning, strategic plan, internal control and risk  management at Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, where he started working in 2008. He has been working as Manager of Tourism Directorate at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality since 2019.

Dr. Samiha Chemli 
Duesto University, Spain

Dr. Samiha Chemli is an Associate Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Coordinator of University Relations (CIDE) at the University of Deusto. She has extensive expertise in hospitality and tourism management, in leading companies, managing crossfunctional teams, and providing leadership and consulting services. With over 19 years of academic and managerial experience, she has contributed significantly to teaching and program development in Tunisia, South Korea, and Spain. Her research interests include innovative tourism practices, mainly using the metaverse and virtual reality in tourism education.

Prof. Michail Toanoglou, PhD
Professor of Management Practice (PMP) & Academic Director of the MSc in Hospitality Management (IMHI) at the ESSEC Business School, Frankreich

Dr. Michail Toanoglou ist ein Tourismus- und Hotelfachmann mit umfangreichem Engagement im privaten und öffentlichen Sektor. Er verfügt über mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung als General Manager in 4- und 5-Sterne-Resorts in Griechenland und hat in verschiedenen Tourismus- und Gastgewerbeentwicklungsprojekten einen wettbewerbsfähigen Mehrwert geschaffen. Er war als Direktor oder Berater für nachhaltiges Destinationsmanagement und Branding für regionale Organisationen tätig.

Er verfügt außerdem über einen akademischen und wissenschaftlichen Hintergrund mit mehr als 15 Jahren Lehrerfahrung in der höheren Tourismus- und Gastgewerbeausbildung in Griechenland und Südkorea und war an Forschungsprojekten im nachhaltigen Tourismus beteiligt. Seit 2015 hat er in Südkorea Programme der International Hospitality & Tourism University entwickelt, darunter zwei Bachelor-, drei Master- und einen Ph.D.-Studiengang.

Seit 2018 ist er zertifizierter Nachhaltigkeitsexperte des GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) und hat zu verschiedenen Nachhaltigkeitsprojekten in der APac-Region und Südeuropa beigetragen. Er verfügt außerdem über die höchsten Zertifikate Professional (CHA-Certified Hotel Administrator) und Academic (CHE-Certified Hospitality Educator) der AHLA (American Hotel & Lodging Association).

Mit maßgeblicher Beratungsleistung im privaten und öffentlichen Sektor realisierte er strategische Entwicklungsprojekte für regionale Behörden und Hotelunternehmen.

Er ist Gründungsmitglied der griechischen NGO „EPOT – Tourism Think Tank“. Er ist Generalsekretär für die europäische Region der World Rural Tourism Conference (WRTC). Er ist Direktor des Zentrums für nachhaltigen Tourismus und Krisenmanagement des Athener Instituts für Bildung und Forschung (ATINER).

Er koordiniert außerdem das wissenschaftliche Komitee zur Einrichtung eines Observatoriums für nachhaltigen Tourismus für eine Inselregion in Griechenland, in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der UNWTO und INSTO (International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories).

Durch wichtige Veröffentlichungen zu Nachhaltigkeit und Tragfähigkeit sowie Beiträge zu internationalen Tourismus- und Gastgewerbekonferenzen bleibt eine aktive Verbindung zur globalen Tourismus- und Gastgewerbewissenschaft bestehen.

Ab Ende August 2023 wurde er PMP-Professor und IMHI-Akademischer Direktor an der ESSEC Business School.

Nicole is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Tourism Management at Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey, which complements her travel experience as a three-time exchange student and avid world traveler.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Nicole is passionate about dance and fitness, dedicating much of her personal time to both learning and teaching. As a former co-owner of a social dance studio and a licensed Zumba™ instructor, she has shared her love for dance and wellness on an international scale.

Barbaros Salman is the General Manager of Çetinkaya Leather and Fur Company, where he has led operations for over 15 years. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Environmental Engineering and worked briefly in his field before transitioning to the family business in the leather industry.

Salman has been involved in Rotary since 2000, serving in various capacities including as President of the Dokuz Eylül Rotary Club and as a member of the Rotary 2440 E-Club and the Rotary Foundation Committee. He has also been active in the Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee, reflecting his engagement with social initiatives.

Since 2020, Salman has served on the Uşak University Rector’s Advisory Board, where he contributes his experience to support the university’s strategic goals and development.

Prof. Bruno Avelar Rosa ist Seniorpartner bei Qantara Sports, einem auf die Sportbranche spezialisierten Beratungsunternehmen, das öffentliche und private Organisationen, vor allem im Nahen Osten, in Asien, Europa und Afrika, bei der Erreichung ihrer Ziele unterstützt. Mit Sitz in Portugal berät er eine Vielzahl internationaler Kunden. Brunos Fachgebiete sind Sportpolitik, Sportentwicklung und Sporterziehung.

Als externer Experte der Europäischen Kommission für Sportthemen verfügt er über umfangreiche Erfahrungen in der sektorübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit zwischen Sport, Gesundheit und Beschäftigung. Bevor er zu Qantara Sports kam, arbeitete Avelar Rosa mit einer Reihe von lokalen und internationalen Verbänden, Hochschuleinrichtungen, Ministerien und Nichtregierungsorganisationen zusammen und beriet diese.

Mit einem Doktortitel in Pädagogischer Psychologie und einem Bachelor in Sportwissenschaften ist Bruno Avelar Rosa außerdem Gastprofessor an der Universität Coimbra (Portugal) und Autor und Co-Autor mehrerer wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten und technischer Dokumente im Bereich der Sportpädagogik.
