She is a member of the National Commission for Coach Education Regulation in Portugal and serves on the Scientific Commission of the Master\u2019s in Teaching Physical Education. Close KEYNOTE SPEAKER Nuno Laurentino Instituto Portugu\u00eas do Desporto e Juventude, Former Portuguese Olympic Swimmer About More Nuno Laurentino &times; Nuno Filipe Gomes Laurentino is a former Portuguese Olympic swimmer who represented Portugal at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Games. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile Portuguese swimmers of all time, he once held half of all national swimming records. Laurentino was the first Portuguese swimmer to break the 50-second barrier in the 100m freestyle short course and the first Iberian swimmer to do so in the long course. A University of Florida alumnus and NCAA competitor, he retired from professional swimming in 2007. She is also a member of the Ethics Committee and the Scientific Committee of the Master&#8217;s in Sports Training of the same institution. Her research interests focus on Sport Pedagogy and Didactics applied to the field of Sports Training, with a special emphasis on the processes of Long-Term Athlete Development, Talent Development and Dual Careers of Athletes. She has nearly 100 scientific publications in these fields. Patr\u00edcia is also a coach educator of the Portuguese Volleyball Federation.
