The Committee is supported by members of the Peer Review College, who are invited to evaluate abstracts submitted for presentation as well as full papers submitted for publication in the proceedings. Role & Responsibilities Manage the peer-review process in a consistent, rigorous, and transparent manner. Consult with the Local Organising Committee in Lisbon to make final decisions on accepted and rejected contributions. Operate in accordance with published responsibilities and guidelines approved by ICSE members and partners. Create thematic sessions to address relevant topics not sufficiently covered by initial paper submissions. Assign tasks to ScC members, coordinate with the Local Organiser, manage the Peer Review College, and liaise with the ICSE Executive Board. Receive and integrate practical details from the Local Organiser (e.g., venue logistics, room capacity, maximum number of sessions, etc.). Oversee presentation evaluations, while the Editorial Board manages final preparation of the publication. Supervise the selection of contributions for publication. Selected papers will be published in a Special Issue of the Journal of Educational Change(Q1-ranked; Impact Factor 2.9; 5-Year IF 3.6; h-Index 53). Committee Composition The ICSE 2025 Scientific Committee brings together senior academics and practitioners from across Europe and beyond, representing expertise in sport, education, physical literacy, inclusion, and innovation. It includes: Chair – guiding the scientific process and coordinating the peer-review workflow. Vice-Chairs – supporting the Chair in review coordination and thematic structuring.
