Brett Smith
Prof. Brett Smith is Professor of Disability and Physical Activity at Durham University, UK, and a Visiting Professor in England, China, Greece, and South Africa. He authored the UK Chief Medical Officers’ Physical Activity Guidelines and led the first national guidelines for disabled adults and children. Brett advises the UK Government, ParalympicsGB, Sport England, and the German Federal Ministry of Health on disability, sport, and co-production. He is Principal Investigator of the award-winning Moving Social Work project, embedding physical activity in social work education and practice. An internationally recognised qualitative research methodologist, Brett is a co-founder of the International Society of Qualitative Research in Sport and Exercise and has been consistently ranked among the Top 100 Cited Researchers worldwide in Sport Sciences.

Prof. Isabel Mesquita is Full Professor at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto, and Coordinator of the Sport, Education and Culture area at the Research Centre of Education, Innovation and Intervention in Sport. She is a member of the National Commission for Coach Education Regulation in Portugal and serves on the Scientific Commission of the Master’s in Teaching Physical Education. An International Coach Education Course Lecturer for the International Volleyball Federation, she has authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles, 31 book chapters, and seven books. Her research focuses on sport pedagogy, coaching education, instructional approaches, and physical education.

Nuno Laurentino
Nuno Filipe Gomes Laurentino is a former Portuguese Olympic swimmer who represented Portugal at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Games. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile Portuguese swimmers of all time, he once held half of all national swimming records. Laurentino was the first Portuguese swimmer to break the 50-second barrier in the 100m freestyle short course and the first Iberian swimmer to do so in the long course. A University of Florida alumnus and NCAA competitor, he retired from professional swimming in 2007.

Patricia Coutinho
Patrícia Coutinho, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto and an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research, Education, Innovation, and Intervention in Sport (CIFI2D). She is also a member of the Ethics Committee and the Scientific Committee of the Master’s in Sports Training of the same institution. Her research interests focus on Sport Pedagogy and Didactics applied to the field of Sports Training, with a special emphasis on the processes of Long-Term Athlete Development, Talent Development and Dual Careers of Athletes. She has nearly 100 scientific publications in these fields. Patrícia is also a coach educator of the Portuguese Volleyball Federation. As a volleyball coach, she holds the highest level of certification in Portugal (level 3) and has accumulated more than 20 years of experience.

Prof. Kazimierz Waluch, PhD is Chairman of the Institute for the Development of Sport and Education (IRSiE) in Poland and Vice President of the Association Européenne des Jeux et Sports Traditionnels (AEJST). He holds a PhD in Political Science from UMCS, Lublin, with research on France’s external cultural policy in post-Cold War Europe. A recipient of scholarships from the French Ministry of Culture, the Italian Government, and the TEMPUS program, he is an editor of scientific publications and book series. Former Director of the Institute of Tourism in Warsaw, Prof. Waluch has lectured at Polish and international universities and participated in numerous national and global conferences, contributing extensively to sport and cultural development initiatives.

Prof. Dr. Volkan Altıntaş graduated from Gazi University in Ankara with Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and obtained an MSc in Tourism and Hotel Management at Akdeniz University in Antalya where he proceed to PhD at the same department. He worked as a Research Assistant between 2003-2010.
At the same time, he was the member of the Junior Researchers team in the center for European Integration Studies at Bonn University in Germany.
He completed PhD in 2010 with the dissertation of “The Effects of Tourism Development on Quality of Life of Residents: The Model of Alanya Region”.
His interested research areas are European Union, tourism politics, regional developments, quality of life and tourism economics. He knows English and German in professional level as foreign languages. He is working at Izmir Katip Çelebi University, Faculty of Tourism as a Full Professor.

She has extensive expertise in hospitality and tourism management, in leading companies, managing cross-functional teams, and providing consulting services. With over 19 years of academic and managerial experience, she has contributed significantly to teaching and program development in Tunisia, South Korea, and Spain. Her research focuses on innovative tourism practices, especially on Web 3.0 and the use of immersive learning and virtual reality in Tourism firms and in higher education. Pedro Dias
Pedro Dias works at the International Olympic Committee as a Gender Equality and Inclusion Manager. Previously he was the Director of Sport Evolution Alliance, an NGO specialized in European Grants, mainly the Erasmus + Sport Program . He holds a bachelor in Sport Management and he has successfully completed the programme “Executive Masters in Sport Organizations Management – MEMOS”.
Pedro Dias is an Olympic Judoka, third place in the European Championship, and he also performed as a coach in this sport. During many years he has worked organizing dozens of international sport events in Portugal and in Brazil, and he was also the Sport Director of the Sporting Clube de Portugal Beach Soccer Team. Through his career has acquired a worldwide sport stakeholders’ network.

She is Associate Professor (Roma, Italy) and qualified full professor since 2023, in the Department of Communication and Social Research of the Sapienza University of Rome, where teaches Communication for Business Management and Event Management and Communication. From 2019 she is Member of the Quid (Quality and Innovation of Didactics) project of Sapienza, with functions as head of teacher tutor training and delegate of the Faculty of Sociology, Political Sciences and Communication and she is member of the Didactic Commission of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sociology, Communication.
From 2015 she is the local coordinator of several research projects at national, European (Erasmus Plus) and international level, and a member of IRNIST, International Research Network in Sport Tourism. It is a scientific research network involving scholars from 38 universities in 17 countries around the world.
She is co-director an editorial series for FrancoAngeli entitled “Sport, Culture and Society” and she is part of the scientific committee of national and European journals including “Sociology of Communication” published by FrancoAngeli and a journal of the Spanish association of Research on Communication published by University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Dr. Donatella Coradduzza is a Researcher in Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Sassari, Italy. She holds a PhD in Life Sciences and Biotechnologies with specialization in Clinical Biochemistry and Proteomics. Her research focuses on circulating biomarkers (proteins, ncRNAs, mitochondrial peptides, metals) for cancer, autoimmune, and neurodegenerative diseases, integrating omics approaches and translational medicine. She has authored more than 39 peer-reviewed publications, serves as Guest Editor and reviewer for international journals, and has coordinated/participated in several Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe projects, fostering interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

Vedant Bhrambhatt
Vedant Bhrambhatt is the Managing Director at Esteem Group, a UK-based firm focused on publishing, academic research, and media. He was a visiting lecturer at St.Xavier’s College, where he taught Publication and Content Management. He is also serving as the Chief Editor for The Social Digest, a London-based magazine focused on social affairs. His research specialises in green consumer behaviour, and as the Research Head for “The Green Research Project,” he leads a team of over 110 research assistants across several projects and has published multiple papers on green consumerism. He is also an experienced TEDx organiser, with several TEDx events organised over the last 6 years. In his session, he will address how the ‘Education Through Sport’ methodology can be leveraged to foster sustainable practices and promote holistic health.
